I am the owner and Manager of Butterflies. I have been welcoming children and families since 1985 and am continually developing and enhancing our provision to ensure it remains a fun, caring and inspiring environment for all children.
I work closely with my amazing team to ensure the highest standards of care and safety for every child. I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the SENCo, supporting children and families to ensure every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Deputy for Toddles and Team Leader for 1-2 year olds
Alice
I have been working at Butterflies since 2017, we learn through play so are always having lots of fun. I love outdoor play, even in the rain. I will be found splashing in muddy puddles with the children and getting the cornflour and foam out for messy play outside.

Team Leader for 2-3 year olds
Sophie
I have been in childcare since I was 17. I first worked in a nursery for 3 years, I was a nanny for 12 years, then worked at the Children's Trust supporting children with brain injuries. I now work at Butterflies and absolutely love it! I am a huge fan of messy play and extending the children's interests through play!

Key Worker
Karen
I have worked within the Early Years sector since the 1970's (Eeeek) in many different roles. Safe to say I have seen, heard and experienced most things young children throw at us, but nothing surprises me! The importance of creating a nurturing environment for young children cannot be understated and this you will find in spades at Butterflies.

Key Worker
Kim
I have been working in education for many years. I completed my teacher training in Canada before moving to the UK. I taught in a London secondary school for 8 years. Since having children I have discovered a love for Early Years, teaching forest school and outdoor learning.

Practitioner
Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda, and I am delighted to be a returning member of the Butterflies family! I first worked with Jeni many years ago when she originally set up Butterflies. When my boys started school, I needed to move on to work more hours elsewhere.
Now that my children are grown, I am fortunate to be able to work fewer hours again, and I was so pleased that Jeni had another position available. It truly feels like coming home.
I really enjoy being part of this amazing team and love once again supporting and working with the children as they learn and grow.

Amber
Hello, I’m Amber and I am part of the team at Butterflies Toddle Hut.
I have been working in childcare for the past four years as a fully qualified Early Years Practitioner, holding both my Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
I am especially proud to say that I used to be a “Butterfly” myself. I attended this very nursery as a toddler, so it feels very special to now be part of the team and come full circle.
I am passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and love watching them grow in confidence as they explore and discover new things.
